Potensi Teripang (Sea cucumber) sebagai Terapi Komplementer Diabetes Mellitus Tipe 2

Abstract


Teripang merupakan hewan invertebrata yang termasuk dalam kelas Holothuroidea. Habitat teripang tersebar di seluruh dunia. Indonesia sebagai negara kepulaun memiliki potensi teripang yang besar. Teripang ini memiliki kandungan gizi yang lengkap dan senyawa aktif yang bermanfaat unutk pencegahan maupun tatalaksana penyakit. Salah satu potensi pemanfaatan senyawa bioaktif daam teripag adalah sebagai anti-diabetes. Tinjauan ini di tujukan untuk menganalisis dan menyajikan kembali hasil dari publikasi sebelumnya serta berfokus pada aktivitas bioaktif yang terkandung dalam teripang sebagai anti diabetes.
